The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has launched an online submission module for industry submissions of petitions or notifications for food ingredients to the Office of Food Additive Safety (OFAS), including color additive petitions.
The online module, called the CFSAN Online Submission Module, is not intended to create a requirement for online submissions and OFAS will continue to accept paper submissions. FDA has also prepared a number of help guides for using the online module. available online.
